Ryan Kobran + Edon Manor

I've added another destination, Edon Manor, to my growing list of shops to visit the next time I find myself in NYC.  I'd love to stroll through the store, adoring the hard to find accessories and shoes while being completely moved by the beautiful interior that surrounds me.

I just finished reading an interview with the store's creative director, Ryan Kobran (who also happens to be Alexander Wang's interior designer). He describes the design concept for the space as, "English country library turned chic."

I adore the playfulness of Ryan's design, as he takes the English reverence for the ornate and antique, and makes it very "now."

He creates environments that feel designed but that don't necessarily comply with the traditionalism of the interiors world.

And because those are the kinds of designs that speak loudest to my personal aesthetic, he has already completely won me over.
Now that I've been inspired, I think I'll go take in more of his loveliness right here...

Happy Friday! Hope you have a fun and restful weekend. See you soon. xoxo Crystal

PS. I have an interview up today over at Aspiring Couture...check it out right here. Thanks Allison!!

Crystal - I'm so glad you posted this! I haven't seen his work before and he's incredibly talented. Wow, each image is amazing. I can imagine feeling both pampered and at ease in this store...

Love the shoes displayed upon books - such a witty and fun idea! And those green chairs are divine...I also like how he has done soft but full curtains as well.

Hope you have a restful weekend as well*

:)
