Inspirational Space: a Statement Piece

Does this bed make a statement or what?! The space really need nothing else as the intricate silhouette and detailed painting truly steal the show. When you find that one 'wow factor' piece, pair it with whites for a neutral backdrop from which it can really shine and speak for itself. Imagine if this bed was in a colorful, filled up room. Somehow I think it's beauty would get lost in the busyness. Instead, the neutrals ground it and take away none of it's gorgeousness!

Stunning. There is something eerie about it, but I love an ethereal feel in a room. And I totally agree... any wall color or loud accessory would completely take away from the effect of that headboard. It looks like it might have been a 4 panel screen once upon a time.... and the foot board was just cut down.

The ultimate marriage bed.
...why should it not be a strong statement?

That bed is stunning! It's kind of a work of art in itself. Beautiful!

Beautfiul bed! I am a bit afraid of making such strong statements because I usually get bored of things very fast and things like these are very difficult to change.. But I admit it has the wow factor!

still look at this photo often and dream of waking in this bed - there's something so old-world and romantic . . .
