Holiday Tabletop Inspiration

One of my favorite parts about the holiday season is decorating! It's the perfect time to get your creativity flowing and do something fun. For me it's an excuse to try a new style or color that I might not be inclined to use during the rest of the year....because after all, it's just for a season!

I love the unexpected hints of grey and icy blue on these tabletops. It reminds me of the snowy winter to come and all the fun that follows! The touches of gold make it Thanksgiving ready, but could easily be switched out for white just in time for Christmas and Hanukkah!

Nothing says holiday festivities like the color red, in my opinion! It's deep, rich hues make me what to bundle up inside, drink hot chocolate, and share love and laughter with friends and family. No color sustains me through the season quite like the warmth of red does!

Of course you can't go wrong with a neutral palette of beige, taupe, and cream. A burlap table runner is an easy and inexpensive way to create this look. The muted tones are soothing to the eye and evoke a sense of calm. And who couldn't use a little dose of calm amidst the hustle and bustle of the holidays, right?!

Wishing you a lovely weekend and thanking you for all your wonderful and generous comments this week!

xo,
Crystal

Wow - the greys/silver/ice blue is so 'cool'. I love it. If it were winter for me at xmas I'd go for it!! It will be over 30 degrees celcius for me xmas day. I'll be in the pool and having bbq seafood lunch - so my table decorations will be extra colourful and bright!
Great pics - thanks for sharing.
Have a lovely weekend :-)

I love the idea of creamy neutrals - so easy to add lovely metallics and sparkles for a dressed up but not over the top look.
Have a lovely weekend

Beautiful! It looks totally fabulous!

So, I need to enlist your help. I am looking to create a world wide hair stylist guide to post as a permanent fixture on my blog. I know you're in the "know" so I thought you could come on over and contribute any info you have....also if you'd like to spread the word to anyone with a passion for beauty/hair, I would really appreciate it! Here's the link:

I am a fan of a "low volume" table setting, because I really do want to view the food at center stage, and not have to play "Where's Waldo" with the side dishes.

This time around we are having a "mini buffet" of small amounts and big variety.

Enjoy all of yours.
