Dark & Saturated

After yesterday's airy, light-filled home (thank you for all your comments!), I'm craving dark and saturated today.

Perhaps not the most practical choice with spring upon us, but it's still cold in Chicago! So, I'll indulge my winter senses just a bit longer.
Darks work so well in libraries and parlors, but I'm loving them paired with white walls in living rooms to keep them from getting too stuffy and heavy.
Of course, silky, velvety dark warmth on your bedroom walls and sheets doesn't hurt either!

Beautiful! White is my favourite colour...but I recently painted one wall in my dining room Benjamin Moore Graphite...which is a perfect "almost" black! Look forward to your blog each day...it is one of my daily reads! Thank you!

Gorgeous and luxurious... A study and small bath or half bath are good dark rooms as well. Looking for just the perfect shade for my study...

I've been in a dark and saturated mood lately, which is strange, since it's spring! But I enjoyed your inspiring post.

How beautiful! I love the masculinity of the first image. That looks like such a cozy room - what a great chair, too!

That third room is spectacular! The large mirror, window and the vast, soaring ceilings? AMAZING.

Such inspiration...hope you're having a wonderful week, Crystal :)

Crystal - the 2 first images are Oh La La so lovely! (I had to scroll back to that second one with the antique table in the back. Love that room. The rug pulls it all together). Happy rest of the week! ox Mon

Oooh, after leaving a comment on the Dramatic and Moody post, I'm almost out of adjectives to express how much I love this post... almost but not completely... simply, simply beautiful!

Well done.
