Green With Envy

Don't you just love all this green against the white chair rail and moulding? I adore the contrast it creates here in the living room, though I've got my heart set on this look for my future dining room.
Either way, it's a must do for the way it brings out the architectural detail of a space and showcases beautiful millwork.
Finish it all off with whitewashed, wide plank wood floors, and this home makes me green with envy!

That book! With its own stand! Too much, and those floors...swoon.

Those floors are incredible. I know we both have a think for rustic floors.

Wow - what a unique and gorgeous shade of green. I think it works because every single thing in the room is a light color. So beautiful - love the architecture!

Crystal, this green is so sophisticated. It really has an old world English charm to it. I like it a whole lot.

I absolutely love the floors and the painted millwork. I wish the paint color was a little more bottle-like with a bit more greyish black mixed into the green color.

I certainly don't mean for this to sound harsh, but for some reason the shade reminds me of the Eddie Bauer hunter green + camel trend from the early 1990's... I bet it is my age. That color combo was fever pitch hot, hot, hot when I was in High School

Am I the only one who is having decor flashbacks?

The dark walls/light under the chair rail and on the floors however - quite inspiring! :)

I knew it! the minute I saw the floors...Denamrk! I had floors like this in my Copenhagen apartment, and I just loved them!

Great green color on the walls, looks like it changes intensity during the day...

You know, I have forest green for so long when it was all the rage years ago ~ I actually got tired of it. I love so many green hues but that one I still shy away from. It's funny what leaves an impact on ya!

This is so amazing. I would not have chosen that color in any other context, but in this room it is stunningly beautiful. And those floors are too good for words. Thanks for sharing this beautiful space.

That green is pure perfection.

that green is perfect b/c it has blue in it and in that first shot it looks almost grey. it's hard to get green right, but this is fantastic.

In all honesty, I couldn't picture choosing green for my home. After this post, I mean consider it for my office. I love how elegant it looks paired with white. Beautiful.
