Tabletop Inspiration: Casual Chic

This could by my very favorite tabletop of the moment. Apart from the dominant white (which I adore), I loved the idea of a long plank of wood anchoring the center pieces. What a great idea!
Another great idea: rustic, distressed wood with shiny, sparkling silver - an unexpected pairing that says, "causal chic."
Oh and then those feathers! Feathers are popping up everywhere in floral arrangements these days. At first, I resisted them but now I can't seem to get enough of them!
Simple plates, silverware, and napkins are the perfect undistracting background that let the beautiful florals and feathers truly steal the shows.

And of course, the menu! What a fun and easy DIY project to do for your next dinner party!

The plank of wood is such a beautiful way to anchor a table. I'm dying to try it, maybe with a piece of beach wood --something to look for on my walks this week at the beach. Lovely!

Beautiful! Love the feathers and the menu.

I love the look of a full, decorated table but I always find that I can't do too much because then there's no room for the food!

There's something about white flowers in a silver vase....so fresh!! It's interesting - feathers made a splash in the wedding world; even sewn on wedding gowns and used as hair accessories for the bride. Now, they're making themselves known on table tops....I think I LIKE it :)

This is a fantastic idea! I love the contrast of the wood to the table linens. Can't wait to try this out on the deck...another plus it will help everything not fly away! Great post!

Ooh... love it all! I too had reservations about feathers in flower bouquets but I am slowly jumping on board! I do LOVE the doilys on the glasses! Such a great/simple idea!
