I love that the design world is embracing brass and stepping away from safe silvers and chrome these days. Actually, I have a nice mix of both finishes in my own home (don't be afraid to mix them!)
Personally, I love the warmth and sophistication of brass. And these two images show how, when paired with a more modern style, the look can be totally updated and completely irresistible. What do you think?

I'm loving brass too! I just bought an oversized architect's lamp in brass from Pottery Barn and am LOVING it my living room. So classy and modern! And I need that rug in the second pic!

Great post Crystal, I love that second floor lamp, it reminds me of New Orleans (where I am from) and I love how the brass picks up the accents on the chair's nailheads. So chic! I think what I love most about these brass lamps is that they aren't to bright and shiny, I like the patina on them. Tres chic! xox

I like an antiqued brass, but the shiny type from the '80's, I hope that never comes back!
I love brass.. So much that I don't think I even have a silver lamp haha.. Mixing it with other metals is almost mandatory. All brass would be too formal I think, or at least too matchy-matchy (for me anyways!)
