The Perfect Mix

Let's set aside the light and breezy springtime palettes for just a moment! This cozy, little bedroom is speaking to me. It's delicious in all its warmth, layers, and textures, whatever the season may be. Wood, fur, and metallic...how about that for a mix?!

I love this! Plus the perfume bottles on the nightstand look amazing there.

Chic- Both warm and cool, cozy and sophisticated...a study in contrasts.

I love the contrast of patterns.

I love the mix!

It just seems to add much more personality to the space. The end table -- which looks more like a table/desk to me -- is fantastic with the sleek silver and bluish grey...what a delightful space :)

What a fabulous mix of styles. How could you not wake up and feel fabulous with a room like that?!

Mixing textures, color, styles, and intensity is one of my favorite things (with interiors and fashion as well). I have several pics of bedroom scenes very similar to this, too. Would love to share if you'd like.

I just finished a house for an architect who used the same palatte throughout. It's clean, sophisticated, yet warm. It's also a great background for wonderful art. I love the unexpected cheetah print for a touch of whimsy.
