On Saturday, two of my favorite ladies, Jess and Alaina, helped me co-host a Chicago style blogger meet-up. And it was fabulous!
You know that blank stare you get when you talk to your 'real life friends' about blogging or the self-conscious feeling you have when you tell someone you have a blog for fear of sounding geeky? Well, being with other like-minded individuals who get it was so refreshing. As Jess put it, we have a common language!
There was so much entrepreneurial and creative talent around, I almost couldn't take it ;) On the right, Rachel and Jess show off the dresses Rachel custom made, while Rachel sports a bracelet from Jess' latest collection on her left arm.
In attendance were (from left to right): Brigitte, David, David's friend Kelly, Rachel, Jess, me, Bailey, Alaina, Diane, and Nicole (who's unfortunately cut out of the picture).
We hosted the event at hip spot Sunda. Owner and Chicago 'it' boy Billy Dec was kind enough to help us out with last minute reservations and sent over some delicious desserts, on the house.
It was such a pleasure and a privilege to meet and get to know everyone! I'm looking forward to the next one already!
*If you're a Chicago style blogger and want to come next time, please e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I'll make sure you're on the invite list!
