I'm far from what you'd call a world traveler and am a bit of a homebody, so when Crystal asked that I share my favorite international finds, I was at a serious loss. So --- consider this my imaginary treasure trove of what I would collect if I were indeed an international girl of awesomeness.
In fact, I just have a few of these in my home right now --- even though they definitely hail from the states. Behold -- the art of the Suzani pillow!:
The name suzani comes from the Persian word for needle. And although chain, satin and buttonhole stitches are commonly used on these beautiful textiles, many are known for their jaw-dropping patterns and colors. A few of my favorites?:
