After yesterday's big and bold post, I'm feeling the need for softer colors, subdued tones, and calming spaces. Oh how I wish I could live in a colorful, vibrant, high cool-factor home, but at the end of the day, spaces like these will always reign supreme in my heart...
Wishing you a lovely, restful weekend my friends!

Thank you for your lovely comment today, Crystal! These spaces are just as gorgeous as yesterday's colourful delights, but in a different way. This is the kinda place I'd like to have a long, lazy lunch with a big group of friends! Very stylish. Have a wonderful weekend! Will xoxo

this is a beautiful space. definitely calming but not lacking in design a bit. have a great weekend!
There is something very grounding and substantial about that buffet table. I love it.
Wow, so pretty!
As my dear friend Ruth would say...Pure. So Pure.
I am loving the lighting - the metal spotlight table lamp, and that giant lampshade of a chandelier. This space has a nice mix of the modern and the traditional. I would LOVE to be invited to that table for a meal!
The architectural details of that space are so beautiful!
I'm in LOVE with this space - le sigh. Would it be fun to have a dinner party in this space?
Have a wonderful weekend with the fam! xo, C
I absolutely love the way you edited these pictures... I was on DTI's site earlier today and passed up on these.. now I'll know to look at pics a bit differently... great post, as always, xoxo, Linda {p.s. an e-mail from me is coming your way soon}!
These are gorgous. I can see why you like them!
So lovely! Have a wonderful weekend!xx
I saved this room too! I go back and forth between colorful and calming too so this pair of posts was a perfect way to end the week! Thank you for commenting earlier today and have a fab weekend!
Boy can I ever identify with that, I love bold beautiful color when I look at other people's spaces, but at the end of the day I love coming home to my rather monochromatic palette. It's so soothing! Love this post.

I think I prefer the cool and comfortable look! Very restful :)
What a gorgeous space. It is so peaceful and serene. I love how that console behind the sofa adds that extra oomph of warmth.
Hope you have a great weekend too!
And no doubt—so so beautiful and timeless! I hope you have a wonderful weekend, Crystal—and maybe a bit of time to relax and spoil yourself. You have been working so hard—you deserve it...
Sending hugs your way,
Sarah
I'm with you. While I adore a bright, colorful room, the ones I create for myself are very muted with lots of white, cream, tan, mocha and grey. I guess I feel most peaceful that way, but I am venturing out and creating a home office with yellow!
love these images, just stunning. hope you had a great weekend :)
Loving that huge lampshade! Such a fab room. Hope you've had a lovely weekend xx
