Lovely Bones

One of the things I miss about living in Italy is the old world architecture.
Sometimes it's the bones of an interior that really steal the show.
In fact, with moldings, floors, and ceilings like this does it really even matter what the decor is? It couldn't look bad even if it tried.

true! - i LOVE old charm - you don't find it in new construction - my brother's house is new construction - and how lovely it is there's no "charm" factor ..

PS: i'm hosting my FIRST give-away - come on by and enter!!! - $45 worth of goodness!

Couldn't agree more ~ I wish more places were built with the same care and quality as in architecture's past ~

p.s. ~ City Girl Chicago is having a great home design give-away on the blog this week ~ I hope you and your readers will come check it out :)

The detail in the molding is quite a treat... You just don't get that charm in newer homes...

so true---mouldings and pretty white walls can make the home (for me)!

It really is all about the little details. I'm sad that I'll have to move from my place in less than a year and give up all the wonderful character.
