Sorry for the unexpected absence yesterday. It was one of those days where life just didn't want to slow down. I had a fantastic time at the LTD 365 Expo (I highly recommend it for next year!) and after hearing some amazing entrepreneurial women keynote speeches, I'm left more inspired than ever. But before we sail into the weekend, I'd like to leave you with a trend that still does it for me: black lamp shades.

Have a good one my loves...see you on Monday!

xo,
Crystal

GORGE. Love it. I've actually been crushing on ---and searching for--- large, glossy black drum shades w gold on the inside (what IS that? paint? gold leaf? it glows!!!) for my daughter's room for what feels like forever. I need affordable options. Must google it immeds. :) Thanks for the inspiration; pretty sure the amazing b & w polka dotish fabric on those wingbacks is exactly what I have been searching for for mine!!! Now if only I could figure out what it is...

Crystal,
These are beautiful images. So serene. Love the linen and the zebra rug especially.
Have a wonderful weekend.

Every room needs a touch of black and a lampshade is a perfect way to include it. And as evidenced here in these beautiful rooms, it works with absolutely any style!

Ahh when I look at these rooms I'm almost starting to wonder if I'm over color...currently redesigning my whole house using Tony Duquette as inspiration --lots of bold tones. Oh well my next house will be in muted streamlined grays...
