LOWE'S + VALSPAR + NATE BERKUS = FUN!

A few weeks ago I had the absolute pleasure of attending an intimate affair in Manhattan put on by Lowe's to promote their line of paint, Valspar. Nate Berkus was the host of the event and together with the other guests we had a blast learning about Valspar and getting our hands dirty.
Check out those gorgeous colors!

My good friend Julia of CasaSugar and I actually won a painting competition, judged by Nate of course, for "best use of color" with our cute little chair. We were super strategic and when Nate casually mentioned he loved white, gray, and yellow together an hour earlier, we knew we had our color combo. Yes, we were the over-achieving, brown-noser types in high school ;)

I also got to meet tons of fun new bloggers through the event and became fast friends with Shani (above) after randomly striking up a conversation in our hotel lobby while checking-in. That's always my favorite part of these events, the making new friends part.

A huge thank you to the lovely people of Lowe's (whose team is nice as can be) for inviting me. To Nate for helping make the event so much fun. And to the other bloggers who made the trip (and post-event night out on the town;) so memorable!
