RECAP: LAS VEGAS MARKET

As promised, I've put together a little recap of Las Vegas Market, which I attended earlier this week (hence my absence over here). Here's a few snapshots of some highlights. Hope you enjoy!
Day 1, Cassandra and I stopped by the always beautiful Global Views showroom. Peacocks were a huge motif and seen on everything from rugs to statues and more. I loved all the greens, turquoises, and yellows throughout the space. Color is definitely making a comeback!
We also checked out the Dwell Studio for Global Views collection, which I adored! The brass wall sculpture especially caught my eye. It's such a fun way to add dimension and interest to a wall.
We also spent a lot of time in the Palecek showroom taking in all the gorgeous chairs and accessories. I loved hearing about the craftsmanship behind each piece and especially fell in love with these beautiful glass vases made from recycled cola bottles. Wouldn't they look beautiful in a beach house?!
Right now I'm also really into wood pieces matched with earthy materials like linens and seagrass, so when I saw this lamp it was an instant favorite.
Day 2, Cassandra and I were invited, along with Lisa Bingham of Entra Magazine, by Kassie Smith Lifestyle Group to do a portfolio review for designers in the Phillips Collection showroom. Here we are with Mark Phillips at the event.
I loved all the avant-garde pieces in the showroom, like this funky chair!

As I walked the show, I found myself drawn to vintage and industrial pieces. I especially loved all the caging I saw, from lamp shades to accessories. These here are from Go Home, a new favorite of mine.
While in Vegas, I also had the privilege of speaking on a panel put together by the wonderful people at WithIt. They invited Rue and Entra to speak about the future of publishing, digital media, and what makes the online platform relevant for the design community today.

Day 3, I spent more time taking in all the showrooms and was particularly impressed with Robert Abbey lighting. I literally loved everything I saw! Their pieces are so timeless and classic, yet very current and fresh. They've totally nailed it.
And finally, here's a shot of the gals on our last day. It was so great seeing friends like Julia of Editor at Large, Emily of Good With Style, and Raina of A Stylist's Life!

Have a wonderful weekend! Now, off to start planning for High Point!! ;)

How fun, Crystal! I was suppose to go to the LV Market this past week but had to cancel because my family is moving. So bummed, but there's always next year! Looks like a blast (: xo
