Weekend Pleasures

The weekend is finally here and now it's time for a little rest and relaxation! What would we do without weekends? A little pardon from time to catch up on all the tasks and pleasures that slip away from us during the work week. Here are some of those things I have planned for myself this weekend:

*try some new recipes I've been saving

*sleep in and let the sunlight wake me up

*lose myself in my book, "My Life in France," by Julia Childs

*try my hand at a contemporary painting for my new place or find someone to commission

*get some work done on the blog and visit all of you

*unwind with a bath

*search for the perfect new console table

*spend some time outside in the sun and enjoy the last hints of summer

Wishing you all a beautiful weekend! See you Monday. xoxo Crystal

...Please take a moment of silence today to remember 9/11 and to honor our heroes of that day...

Looks like you will be keeping yourself busy! I cannot wait for the weekend. That bed looks so unbelievable and I wish I woke up to that view. I also have Julia Childs book on my reading list! Have a great weekend!

I love, love, love these photos! Did you see Julie and Julia? It made me want to read up on Julia Child! I want to read her correspondence, too. I love that she had a long time pen pal... it's a lost art form, I think. I hope you have a wonderful weekend and catch up from your move!

Sounds like a wonderful weekend, Crystal! I can feel a console table post coming on, perhaps? We need one! Beautiful rooms -- I think the bedroom and library are my favorites. That soft colored canopy is so romantic and soft...

I would love to know your thoughts on the book when you're done :) I think I might have to pick up a copy!

Wishing you much success in your search, some relaxing time, and some warm sunshine ~

I'm looking forward to seeing your painting (do post it!). I so believe in people having a go for themselves as well as buying a very few favourite pieces.

it's giving me ideas on what to do tomorrow, sleeping in (as always!) & I may just look for the perfect bench or a console.

The third pic from the top -- I love how those books are accessorized! You should photograph your backwards book display and post it! I would love to see it. :)
