Pretty Packaging: Barbara Barry Home Fragrances

Do you buy things just for the pretty packaging? I'm guilty. I'm also a closet graphic designer wannabe and just go wild for a good design.

Right now I'm completely in love with Barbara Barry's home fragrances. Not only do they smell like heaven, but the packaging is beyond adorable. It captures perfectly that refined yet livable, sophisticated yet comfortable look she is so well known for. Plus, wouldn't these make the most perfect house warming gift?

Massive Mirrors

I'm currently in love with huge, oversized, leaning mirrors. Apart from the practical purposes they serve, like reflecting loads of light around a room, I completely melt at their sheer scale and grandiose presence in a space. There's something regal, glamorous, and overtly self-indulgent about them that I love!

Thos. Moser: Beautiful Wood Pieces

This weekend I was with some girlfriends for a night out in Chicago, when we walked past a Thos. Moser showroom. The beautiful four post bed in the display window caught all our attention! It was stunning, elegant, and modern. Of course, I just had to stop and take few pics with my iPhone :)

When I got home, I checked out the website. I have to say, there is some of the most beautiful wood furniture I've ever seen. I love the thin, clean lines and modern curves of their pieces. Here are some of my favs...hard to think of it as anything else but art :)

Art+Fashion

Some clothes are just so beautiful, you want to hang them up like art! Has this ever happened to you? You buy something because it's just so stunningly beautiful that you can't imagine passing it up? You know you will never have the right occasion to wear it, but just having it to look at, hanging in your closet makes you happy? I've done this many times! But I like to think of it as purchasing art :)

Arte Italica Ceramics

Yesterday some lovely Arte Italica ceramics landed in my inbox from One Kings Lane. I was taken by the art, romance, and culture they inspires. These pieces would be perfect for embellishing a garden or for al fresco dining. I can just imagine it: bistro table and chairs on the outdoor patio, ceramics overflowing with fragrant flowers, carafe pouring with abundant wine, and lots of joy and laughter!
