Well, I couldn't live in any of these rooms, but I think that's a prime function of hotels: to have décor that will delight and dazzle us for a few nights and then allow us to return to the comparative serenity of our own houses. As hotel rooms, I'd really like these.
The red rooms look pretty in these pictures, but I could never live in one. I love the color, but I'd rather have a blue or yellow room! =) It'd be a bit less intense.
I have an intense tangerine living room, and I love it, but frankly, I am really looking forward to repainting it after 5 years. But, hey, it lasted that long, which is pretty good! If I went monochromatic, I'd love to do a grey color scheme.
OOoo! Very bold. Ok, I admit, right off the bat, if I had to choose a monochromatic scheme, it would be gray, of course. I never, ever tire of gray...
However, I was thinking about one of Tricia Guild's first books, "White Hot" -- she had featured a space that consisted of saturated blues, aquas and purples. They looked lovely and cool together...so perhaps something like that could work well. Although, I do like the bedroom in image 03!
Also, thank you SO much for your sweet comment on my latest post -- I only wish to be as wonderful as Audrey :) You are such a kind person, Crystal!
i think i could live in those rooms. the red is great but i'm afraid i'd get sick of it. if i had to choose a color, i choose turquoise. it makes me happy.
I moved into an apartment in 2008 in which my bedroom was awash in vibrant red. I tried, but I couldn't handle it. It was unsettling, so I repainted it a lovely moody gray-violet.

I would choose robin's egg blue. I can't get enough of that color.

Oh man, I don't think I could do those hues. They are beautiful to look at though.

Red would be too intense for me. If I can't do white, I would have to go with gray!
great question, lovely pics! if i had to choose, it would be gray.
i could live with red, if it was only on one wall...or in a chilly climate.
Thanks for stopping by! Hmmm... if I was going to be bold, I would do Jade with white accents.
@mise: great point...a hotel room would be just the perfect place to experience this kind of color.
If I had to choose just one color for a monchromatic room....I think'd I'd go the safe (and boring?) way and choose grey.
Although I MIGHT be able to live with a blue room, too :)
i thnk a red room would be a bit too much to live in, altho i would love a "closet room" painted red with leopard print and mahongany accents.
they certainly are bold
Oh, yes, I could! If I had my way, I'd paint the entire house red. These rooms are just too fabulous for words.
Cheers.

ahhh the 4th pic looks lovely... I might consider this one...
Absolutely luxurious colors! These photos make me want to go shopping for some paint!! :)
I would choose green...there are so many delicious shades. But I would have to have some pattern. Probably lots of William Morris!!
Thanks for the sweet comment about Edward and for leading me here to your beautiful blog!!

Love the vibrant energy of these rooms! The third would make a wonderful guest space.
Hope you're having a great week,
xo
Pink, of course!
