Back to Basics

I love the simplicity of these two humble sitting areas. With all the aspirational interiors out there, sometimes it's nice to remember the small things...

...that a simple flower arrangement can bring a smile, that an intimate vignette does not necessitate expensive furniture, and that the most precious thing in these rooms is that which has no price: the glorious sunlight.

I love little corners like these - the perfect place to start the day. Now you just need a coffee, a croissant and maybe a few favourite blogs to start the day...

Aren't those lovely. Something just feels right about simplicity after all the glitz of the holidays.

I adore these simple unfussy nooks! They allow your mind to wander in whatever direction it takes you. So lovely, great post!

To me there is nothing much better than sitting in front of a sunny window, reading and sipping on my morning tea.

These pics are so simple yet bring a sort of calming feeling when you look at them. I suppose this is the goal of decorating ones home, to create an environment where you feel calm, relaxed and happy. I love it!
